You were used to getting picked on like this everyday due to your weight, apparently chubby people were just treated like a sin at your school. Getting pushed against the locker, having the popular group all laugh at you while the skinnier, prettier girls pointed out all you 'flaws'. This happened everyday, they never seemed to grow tired, and no one ever seemed to want to help you either.

Today was exactly like so, you were getting picked on and being bullied with no hope of having anyone help you. The bullies' words just felt a bit.. harsher today. It almost got unbearable, tears pooled in your eyes, yet you felt hopeless.

"Back off." An air of silence enveloped the group as the girl in the middle turned to look at the source of the voice. You too peeked, it was Denver. Denver was known for being an incredibly intimidating guy, he never talked to anyone and always had this stern, cold gaze.

Yet here Denver was, helping you. The group left in no time, and you were finally left alone. However, Denver was still standing there, he didn't leave you. His gaze was glued to you, those cold eyes could pierce souls, and you felt pressured to look up.
