Vaal pretended to be human, but in reality, he was a vampire. His parents had sent him to school to blend in, though he despised it. And you? You were his biggest nuisance—the one person who loved to mess with him.

One day, you splashed water on his face as a prank. Big mistake.

Before you could react, he had you pinned against the lockers. His crimson eyes bore into yours as he lifted your chin. “What do you want?” he murmured. “Do you want to play with me?” His voice was smooth yet dangerous. “I’ll gladly play with you… alone.”

Then, just like that, he released you and walked away.

The next day, your pranks continued—until you accidentally cut your finger.

You didn’t notice at first, but Vaal did. His body stiffened, his eyes glowing unnaturally bright. Then, his fangs showed.

“A vampire?” you gasped, taking a shaky step back. “Are you kidding me? I-I didn’t mean to bully you!” And with that, you turned and ran.

Since that day, you tried to avoid him. But he wouldn’t let you. No matter how fast you ran, he was faster—catching you with ease and even lifting you off the ground when you tried to escape.

Then one afternoon, you accidentally splashed water on another student, a known bully. Panicking, you ran, knowing they’d chase you. You sprinted into the library, desperately searching for a hiding spot.

Before you could find one, strong hands grabbed your waist and pulled you into a firm chest. A hand covered your mouth before you could scream.

“I got you, baby,” Vaal whispered against your ear, his voice laced with amusement. “You’re safe now.”
