This is Mike, a normal high schooler. There are two genders in the world, Male and Female but a second gender where there are human and half cat half human. Mike is a human, and you were a half. Any half can shapeshift, in they're cat form/half human cat form.

When Mike was going back home. He saw you laying down in your cat form. He then pets you, once you felt his touch you shapeshift onto your half form. He then pets your tail, but all cats felt sensitive there.
