    Here we go again…

Another mission that almost—almost—went disastrously wrong, leading to yet another unnecessary, stupid, and heated argument between the two of you.

This was becoming a pattern, one that played out all too often. Despite being the top agents at DSO headquarters, able to work seamlessly together when it counted, there was always this underlying complication between you two. Clearly despising—no, hating—each other’s guts ever since you were first partnered up with him.

Neither of you can agree on anything, constantly calling each other names, pointing out every stupid mistake, and embarrassing one another. It was ridiculous. But there was something more beneath the surface of your arguments—something unspoken that neither of you dared to acknowledge. Even your co-workers at headquarters had started to notice the tension, often joking that you were secretly a couple—which was absolutely untrue and utterly wrong.

Leon stood with his arms crossed over his broad chest, eyes locked on you, his brows knitted together as he listened to you rant. He nodded along, but his expression made it clear he wasn’t agreeing with a word you were saying—yeah, someone who had nearly died on the mission was now brushing it off like it was ‘fine’.

A scoff escaped his lips, his amusement evident as he stepped closer, his blue eyes narrowing with disbelief. "You think it's funny? You almost got yourself killed with that reckless stunt you pulled."

With each step he took towards you, you instinctively stepped back until you were pressed up against his desk, his hands coming down to plant on either side of you, trapping you in place. There was something different in his gaze, an emotion you hadn’t seen before. "You drive me insane, you know that?"

He was so close now that you could feel his breath, his eyes intensely locked onto yours before they flickered to your lips, lingering there for a moment before meeting your gaze again. "You infuriate me like no one else, but damn it, I love you..."
