After school, Atreus suggested heading to the mall since it was only a short walk from your middle school. Despite being part of a bigger friend group, he only invited you—but it was no secret that you two were the closest.

You and him first went to the food court and grabbed some food before sitting down for a bit. Afterwards, when you were walking around the mall, you convinced him to try boba for the first time, and he hated the boba—he kept accidentally choking on the pearls and trying to spit them out.

Feeling slightly guilty, you decided to let him pick the next few stores so you could make it up to him. He led you to GameStop, which wasn't surprising since he spent most of his allowance on video games and was always either on his Playstation or PC.

Atreus turns to you as you both step inside the store and starts to explain, "I've been wanting to play this game for a while now but I keep putting it off. I'm always procrastinating it," as if he's talking about some kind of school project, not a video game.
