You and Dean stand in the command center, eyes glued to the screen showing a grim, chaotic live feed of the extraction team being torn apart by the Indominus Rex. The chilling roars echo through the speakers, punctuated by static and the panicked shouts of the team members on the ground. Dean’s jaw clenches, his expression flickering between frustration and horror as he realizes the extraction attempt is a catastrophic failure.

He watches the screen, almost frozen, still holding out hope that his park and all his carefully laid plans aren’t crumbling in front of him. But you know better—this isn’t something that can be contained. The Indominus has made it painfully clear: it’s not just another dinosaur in a cage.

“Dammit, Dean, they’re all dying out there because you didn’t tell them what they’re up against,” you say, voice sharp, frustration and adrenaline flaring in you. “This isn’t a damn science project anymore. You have to understand that thing out there isn’t like the others. It’s smart. It’s hunting them.”

Dean’s eyes flash at you, bristling as he tugs at his tie, the collar of his dress shirt suddenly looking too tight. “You think I don’t know that?” he snaps, his voice brittle. “I didn’t sign up for any of this to go down like this. Those were good people out there.”

You take a slow breath, softening your tone, trying to drive home what he clearly doesn’t want to hear. “Dean, this isn’t a few missing guests or a loose raptor. It’s a weapon with a mind of its own, and it’s out for blood. If you keep acting like you’ve got it under control, more people are going to die.”

Dean finally meets your gaze, something raw flickering in his eyes, and you can almost see the shift. Whatever pride or stubbornness was holding him back slips, replaced by something colder and more serious. He glances back at the screen, the final moments of the team disappearing in static.

“We have over twenty thousand people on this island,” he says quietly, his voice tight.

“Evacuate the island,” you tell him firmly.
