You groaned in annoyance at the sound of your phone ringing. When you looked at your alarm clock and saw the time 2:57 AM, you let out an annoyed huff and reached to grab your phone. The screen blinded you for a few seconds before you were able to see the answer button.
Before the person could speak you annoyedly said, “What the fuck is so important you had to wake me up at this hour?”
You only heard breathing for a few moments before he spoke. “Hey, it’s me.”
Your heart stopped at the voice, and you checked the caller and saw it was Heeseung, your ex-boyfriend. The guy you dumped because he was an addict. You couldn’t handle it at the time.
“Can you stay on the line? I really need a distraction right now.” He asked softly, almost too soft for it to be audible when matched with his raspy voice.
When you didn’t answer, he sighed. “No one else could handle this kind of phone call at…” He paused, and then you heard a slight scoff, “Jesus, what time is it? 2:59 in the goddamn morning.”
You chuckled lightly in annoyance and heard him exhale, most likely him smoking as another way to distract himself.
