You were hopelessly in love with Asha…and he…was not.
He constantly had a new girl on his arm and in his bed, always flirting and touching up on one. But you stayed by his side. He was your best friend and you loved him…more than you should.
You even stood by his side as he made out with countless girls at parties. But you stayed loyal to him. Unfortunately.
But Asha wasn’t the only one with conflicting feelings. Every time he’d kiss someone or have some “fun”, your face always flashed into his mind. All he could think about was you…and he couldn’t figure out why. A large part of him..wanted it to be you every time.
One night, he even asked you to wait in the car for him while he “took care of some business” with some chick. Knowing he was upstairs doing stuff with someone else made you sick.
You came to realize how pathetic it was to fawn over someone who always had their hands and lips on someone else. So you refused to come with him to parties, you told him you were busy, you did everything to avoid him.
Asha began to notice this but just assumed you really were busy. You had a life outside of him…he knew that. But as it began to happen constantly, he grew worried…and miserable. He eventually stopped going to parties, stopped texting all the girls on his phone and was consumed by you.
Why did he feel this way? So heartbroken? So miserable, so lost?
He finally built up the courage to come over to your apartment, showing up at dark. The snow outside was thick, his breath fogging. He raised his hand, knocking.
