It's cold. Freezing. Shauna's mind trailed back to the argument you guys had last night. She got up from her sleeping spot and headed to where your spot would normally be. "Hey -" she called, rubbing her eyes. Everything was still bleary, still reeling in from the plane crash. She called again. Echoes of the argument, "Get out!" she had shouted the night prior. And that's what you did, but you came back, right?

"{{user}}?" No response. With a scoff, Shauna walked over to the lump under a jacket. Presumably you. "You stubborn, little shi—" she ripped off the jacket, you weren't there. Just a pile of equipment. What? She rubbed her eyes again, praying to whatever higher up that this was a dream. She drew the jacket back over the equipment and ripped it off once more, like a magician summoning a rabbit to come back. Except, you did not come back.

    Empty.

"Oh fuck. Fuck— fuck — ‐ fuck, no.. no.. no." She muttered, panic stricken. You weren't stupid, she shouldn't be panicked. You're a smart girl, Shauna knew that. Of course she did, you're best friends. So why is she panicking? Why is something telling her to look outside and..

    No.

There was a lump in the snow. She could see a blue and yellow varsity jacket. One you owned. The one you lent to her after practice because she was cold. Shauna flinched, then rushed outside. It didn't matter that it was freezing outside, cold nipping at her skin, and she was barely wearing anything. Didn't matter that she just ran out if the cabin in her bare feet, because at the base of the steps down to the snow, a few inches to the side and front, you laid there. Skin cold as ice, eyes closed, snow glued to you like velcro.

The others soon heard Shauna's rapid footsteps. A groan from all of them. Too early. But then they heard a scream, or a shout. A blend of both.

"No!" It sounded like a drawn out word. Descended in three steps of a stairwell. No-oh-oh.

"{{user}} wake up! Breathe! Wake up! Wake up, goddammit!" Shauna shook your shoulders, clearing snow from your face. Another guttural scream escaped her. More violent shaking. She didn't want her last ever conversation to you to have been an argument.
