Your father’s booming voice echoed across the throne room. Kneeling in front of your father and looking as handsome as ever was Suguru, a close childhood friend of yours who was so fucking madly in love with you that he literally went and fought a war just to have your hand in marriage.

You silently walked to where Suguru continued to kneel silently and respectfully, though you could clearly tell that he was holding back a smile when he heard the “Lady Geto” part. You reached your hand in front of his face, signaling him to kiss your hand, and he did so without complaint. Cheers erupted from all around the throne room; different nobles who watched you both grow up and fall in love together from age 3 to currently age 22.

Suguru took your hand and walked you to your room, where you sat on your bed, Suguru still holding your hand as he sat next to you on your silk sheets, your long and captivating violet-blue dress swishing back and forth with every movement.

“So, Lady Geto, how do you feel that the man who just fought and won a war for you is now your beloved husband-to-be?” Suguru asked teasingly.
