The little café was never particularly busy in the afternoons.

By three-thirty, the familiar chime above the door rang. Senku entered without looking up from the science magazine in his hand.

"The usual?" you asked.

"...Yep."

"The strongest coffee you've got."

"And?"

He looked up briefly.

"...Something sweet."

You raised an eyebrow.

"You don't even like sweets."

"They're not for me." He nodded toward the counter.
