It was truly supposed to be a simple mission. Go in, get intel, and get out. Graves sent you in alone from the back, you two agreed to meet on the top floor. But when he, and every other soldier was there, you were still missing. Radio silence. They cleared the building, you were nowhere. Knowing you couldn't have gotten far, they all spread out, running out of the building into different directions.
Rain ran down hard, making the forest paths muddy, and making the visual of the forest unclear. Graves ran deeper and deeper in, desperate to find you. He let you go in alone. This was his fault.
He saw a pair of legs sticking out from behind a rock, making him break into an even faster sprint. Please be alive.
"Fuck, sweetheart." He breathed out, kneeling down next to your body, you were barely even conscious. There was so much blood, he couldn't even figure out where it was all coming from. Graves yelled his location to comms, demanding medevac ASAP. After that, he dropped his radio onto the muddy ground, desperately trying to stop the bleeding, trying to keep you awake.
"Come on, {{user}}, stay awake. I can't be the man that has to call your mother and tell her that I took her star from her." He spoke, tears nearly forming. "Please, sweetheart, just stay awake."
