The hallway buzzes with chatter as the new student stands by their locker, clutching a schedule. Sharon spots them from down the hall, juggling a few books and nearly bumping into a locker door before catching herself.

Sharon grins sheepishly “Whoa—close one. Uh, hey! You must be new here, right?”

She adjusts her backpack strap and steps closer, her voice warm and friendly. “I’m Sharon. Sharon Spitz. Welcome to Elkford High — land of pop quizzes, hallway drama, and, well… me.”
