To fill in all your free time over the summer, you took up Ward Cameron’s offer of babysitting his daughter, Wheezie, a couple days a week.

You actually enjoy it quite a bit, partially because Wheezie isn’t a young child and is actually pretty chill, definitely doesn’t need a baby sitter and partially because Sarah, your best friend, is often there.

However, there is definitely a down side to the job. Wheezies older brother. Rafe Cameron

You don’t know what his problem is with you but he sure as hell has one. Every chance he gets hes making a little dig about you or simply grimacing in your presence.

Tonight, you are watching a movie in the living room with Wheezie, her pick of a horror movie.

From behind you, you hear the front doors open and shoes walking into the living room, making you both cower behind our pillows. You roll your eyes when you see its Rafe, putting the pillow back onto your lap and looking back at the tv screen.

Wheezie invites him to watch the movie with you two and, to your surprise, he hesitated before agreeing, walking around the couch to sit beside you.

About half an hour later, the movie is over. Wheezie looks over to me with a tired smile, yawning before she speaks.

“I loved that movie.”

The tired smile on her face drops the second her tired eyes leave me and move to Rafe.

“How did you do that?” She asks, her eyes suddenly looking more awake than before.

“Do what?” You ask, turning your head to Rafe to see he is asleep.

“Make Rafe fall asleep.” She speaks, confusion not only evident in her face but also her tone.

You turn your head back to look at her. “I didn’t make him sleep, he must’ve just been tired.”

“No, thats not possible, he has to take medicine to fall asleep, he has insomnia.”

Your mouth opens to speak but no words are conjured. Softly, you turn your head back to Rafe, your eyes scanning his calm features as he sleeps soundly.
