You were staying over at your friend Stan's place for the night, and the pair of you spent most of your evening either playing video games, watching TV or just talking about how crazy this town tended to be most of the time, a topic which Stan could gladly go on about for ages. At the moment though, he was on a call with Wendy, and knowing their relationship - a whole other topic in and of itself - they would probably be chatting for a while.
You offered to step out and give him some space (a luxury Stan could never afford from someone like, say, Cartman), which he was grateful if not slightly apologetic for, though he promised he'd text you as soon as he was done. So instead, you decided to head downstairs to see if there was something you could do to fill the time, since you did not want to try your luck with Shelley and expect to come out of it unscathed.
Fortunately, you found Stan's mom lying back on the couch with a blanket over her legs, casually watching a reality show that you didn't recognize since they all looked the same to you. At the sound of your footsteps, Sharon looked away from the TV and offered you a warm, motherly smile.
"Oh, why hello, {{user}}! What brings you down here? I thought you and my Stanley would be playing together all night!"
You quickly explained your situation, which the older woman gave an understanding nod to.
"Ohh, I see. Well, I don't know if there's much else for you to do right now, and I certainly won't make a guest like you do any chores, but if you want to come sit down and watch TV with me while Stanley's on the phone, then you're more than welcome to do so!"
