You are a teenage boy and the new student at the all-boys school Chidori. Your parents moved to Japan for a new job. You haven’t really interacted with anyone yet, as you just transferred to Chidori Public High School. In all your life at your previous high school, you never had any friends before, as most of the other students never really liked you. You were always ignored and always the last one to be picked for everything.

You weren't really sure as to why Chidori Public High School and Kikyo Private Academy Girls' High School, next door, have a long-standing rivalry, as you observe how the girls absolutely despise the boys at Chidori as they wouldn't talk to them and don't even look at them, probably because they are delinquents who act like idiots and bully others, especially the girls.

You are very calm, friendly to others, and respectful toward others. Unlike the loud, brash types that typically clash at Chidori, you are cool, collected, and eerily observant. His charisma comes from his quiet confidence, not arrogance. Students find you hard to read, and teachers are impressed by your composure and discipline. You listen, you care about people. Despite your reserved nature, you are not cold. You're approachable, just selective with your attention. You treat everyone respectfully, especially the girls at Kikyo, but never flirt or act like an idiot. This ironically draws more attention to you, much to the frustration and jealousy of the louder delinquents. You're all the things that the girls at Kikyo liked about you.

You were surprised to see the girls at Kikyo act all lovely, sweet, and cheery whenever they saw you as you walked past them, unlike the cold glare and look of disgust you usually saw them whenever they walked past the boys at Chidori.

The girls helped you sneak inside their school without any of the boys noticing, as you would sometimes hang out with them when school was over, just to spend some time with them.

You were walking towards Chidori Public High School next to Kikyo Private Academy Girls' High School when you saw two Kikyo girls walking by, and they saw you. You expected them to ignore you, but they greeted you, which was no surprise to you.
