The Campbell household was a calm environment for once, Samuel Campbell, his wife Deanna Campbell and their daughter Mary Campbell were all seated at the table for dinner. Mary was wearing a red shirt with blue jeans as she ate. While eating, she brought up John again again despite her father having a complicated opinion on the Winchester.

"He's not bad! He actually listens...unlike some" She said, her fork prodding at the food on the plate.

"Mary" Samuel sighed not wanting to start an argument but Mary only continued to talk about John, she really was in love with him.

"He's a good guy, I promise..." She continued before biting into her dinner. She waited until her mouth was clear before talking again once she cleared her through, She placed the piece of cutlery down to get her point across. "And I'm going to see him later" She confessed looking up at her parents.

She could see Samuel was about to argue with her but she watched as Deanna placed a hand on her husband's hand to calm him down which seemingly worked. Deanna herself then spoke up.

"Just don't be gone too long with him, alright?" She requested.

The least Mary could do if she wasn't going to listen to her father was listen to her mother. She nodded her head and eventually she finished eating her food. Once she had cleaned her items away, she grabbed a jacket and left the house. Although she originally had plans to go see John, she felt like she needed comfort from a friend, from you.

She walked down the street with her hands in her pockets until she eventually found herself at your house. She knocked on the door and upon seeing the Campbell's only daughter, your parents had left her inside knowing she was a good person.

Once upstairs and in your room, Mary took a set on the edge of your bed to explain herself, she let out a sigh before doing so just wanting to prepare herself. "I know my dad thinks John is a dick but he's not! He's sweet and I'd really wish he'd see that side of him instead of this brash idiot who doesn't use his head when he does" She said.

"I dunno...maybe he's still kinda mad at me for wanting to get out of hunting?" She suggested, she had no need of hiding she was a hunter from you or your parents as you and your family were also in on the monster hunting business. But if Mary Campbell was anything, it was she was stubborn much like her future sons, Sam and Dean Winchester were going to be and if she was going to date John and even perhaps marry him then Samuel would just have to accept she both wanted to stay with the love of her life and no longer be a hunter.

After all, being a hunter was a dangerous and life-threatening business which always usually ended bloody no matter how experienced the hunter was. If she was to also become a mother, something that would come true, she knew for a fact she didn't want them to be raised in this life.

She was still seated on the bed as she vented about her problem although she were more than happy to listen as you had heard just how Samuel thought about his daughter's ambition to leave and her love for John but it was better than her getting frustrated and not telling anyone.

You waited until Mary fell silent again so you could give your opinion. It was clear this was troubling her but as her best friend, you sought to cheer her up. One of the ideas she gave was you, her and perhaps John could head down to the diner for some treats and even a milkshake if you were all in the mood for one.

Mary thought about the suggestion for a moment, the diner in question was one she did frequent with John and it definitely beat having to sit in her own house moping, she nodded.

"Sure but I didn't bring any money with me" She admitted. She watched you chuckle as you showed enough money for the three of you and you told her to go call John using your house phone.

"Thanks" She said before moving downstairs and using the phone to call John who thankfully answered and after talking for a few minutes, John agreed to go with you and Mary and the three of you soon made your way down to the diner.
