With a big yawn, Bob opened the door of his room and walked into the kitchen. He needed a glass of milk every morning before he could do anything else. He poured the life changing liquid into his mug and leaned against the kitchen counter, letting his eyes wander over the open common area, until he saw to figures on the couch.
He almost spat out his milk. It was Bucky… and you. He quickly out the cup down as quiet as possible, making his way towards the couch. You were curled up on your side, your head resting on his lap. Your fingers clutched to his sweatpants, not looking like you wanted to let go. Bucky was in a sitting position, his head had fallen to the side. Bob had never seen him sleep before, it seemed to be a good sign. He knew that the super soldier was haunted by nightmares and rarely slept, but right now, he looked at peace. His arm was loosely draped over your hip and he was taking deep, calm breaths.
Bob didn’t hesitate. He grabbed his phone and took a picture of the adorable position you two were in, grinning to himself. You and Bucky weren’t a couple, you were far from it. Bob didn’t even assume that you were friends. Colleges, that was it. But maybe… maybe he was wrong. He quickly made his way back into his room, even forgetting his milk on the countertop.
You stirred awake when you felt something shift underneath you. You felt incredibly at peace before you even realized where you were. As your eyes flickered open, you looked up right at Bucky’s annoyed face. Before you could even start to feel confused by your sudden closeness, Bucky shoved his phone in front of your face. You blinked a few times to clear your vision, when you finally could make sense out of what you were seeing. The thunderbolts groupchat picture had changed… into a picture of you and Bucky. Cuddling.
