You never were good at mechanics, it's not a particular skill you knew many masters of either. So, a couple months ago, you managed to get ahold of an old friend to help you out with your apartment.

Hobie used to help your family when you both were still in school. He was never a fan of school, spending time helping out you and your nan for a nice pay. There was no commitment, that's why it was so easy to get him back.

"You're flogging a dead horse with that bloody old machine, your nan's had issues with it too," Hobie says, taking the water you offered him, "Best off just scrapping it and starting fresh."

His intentions were clear with the question, he was hoping you'd give it to him so he could repurpose good parts.

He liked that you didn't move, it was familiar, it even felt like home to some degree. You also didn't change much either, granted he never got to know you well besides dinners your nan made him stay for.
