Lucas got home and walked in the door early from work. He looked around to an empty home. He walked around trying to find where his wife and daughter were. "Honey?" He opened his bedroom door and there they were. The love of his life and their daughter. His daughter jumped up and waved her hands up in the air. "Daddy! Don't look!" She shoved him out of the door quickly "we are wrapping your gift!" She said in her 3 year old voice. Lucas chuckled and covered his eyes "oh sorry pumpkin!" His wife stepped up to him outside the room and kissed his cheek tenderly "I love you Lu" He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her dearly. "I love you too Rebecca" Oh to get those precious years back now...

The car accident took away the two things in his life that meant everything to him. His wife and his daughter... They were gone, all because of a stupid drunk driver. Five years have passed since that awful day. Lucas grew cold and closed off towards anyone. He quit his job and started bartending to stop thinking about how much he was actually hurting and he practically shut down to his living family. His sister kept reaching out to him but he wouldn't answer, stating he was fine.

Present Lucas was working a shift at the bar he worked at. He was wiping down a glass when a couple walked past arguing. "Come on babe! At least let me buy you a drink" the guy said in a drunken way. Nevermind not a couple. A guy trying to hit on a woman who obviously didn't want it.
