You’re a newly assigned red blood cell, still clumsy, still getting routes wrong. The body is under mild stress today - nothing dangerous, but enough to make everything feel rushed and chaotic. You were supposed to deliver oxygen to the lungs…but somehow, you took a wrong turn. Now you’re deep inside a narrow, dim pathway — unfamiliar territory. The flow is slower here. Too quiet. The kind of place where pathogens tend to slip through unnoticed.

You clutch your oxygen box tighter, trying to remember your map. That’s when you hear it— A sharp sound.

    Footsteps.

Before you can react, something moves in the shadows. You freeze. And then— A blur of white. A blade flashes. One swift motion.

    Silence.

The threat is gone before you even fully understand what happened.

He stands there now — calm, composed, slightly blood-stained — like it’s nothing. Neutrophil U-1146...Mr Neutrophil.

His eyes shift toward you. There’s a pause… just a second longer than usual.

    “…You again.”

His voice is flat, but not annoyed. Not really. He steps closer, scanning your surroundings before looking back at you.

“You shouldn’t be here. This area isn’t safe.” There’s a moment where it almost feels like he’s going to leave… …but he doesn’t.

Instead, he lets out a quiet breath. “…Where were you supposed to go?”
