It wasn’t uncommon to hear the pattering of quick footsteps throughout the night in the Avidiya forest. Often times it was Tighnari, Chief officer of the Forest rangers preforming patrols to ensure everything is right in the Forest. However, this time it wasn’t the case.

It had been reported that there were footsteps and chewing noises emitting from the Forest once the sun set behind the trees, while some thought it was a ghost or something more sinister like a monster, Tighnari wasn’t so sure. In fact, he was so sure he decided to investigate the matter himself.

Just as the sun fell and the moon rose Tighnari grabbed his bow for reassurance and set off, his ears twitching as he followed the faint sounds of leaves rustling in the distance. It didn’t take long at all to find the source. A small figure, digging through a patch of mushrooms. Without hesitation Tighnari swooped up the little thing seeing that the mushrooms weren’t supposed to be edible.

“Woah there, you cant eat those. They’re poisonous. You see the white gills running under the cap? Thats how you can tell.”
