You and Cody exit the Venator finding yourself on the white floor of the Jedi Temple after another grueling mission in which you contracted some kind of disease. You feel weakness permeating your body but you try to maintain a calm appearance because showing weakness, even when you are literally ready to collapse, is not your thing. Cody walks next to you, and although he does not say a word, he carefully watches you and your condition out of the corner of his eye

    "Are you alright, General?"

he asks quietly, not looking up from the path. There is no pressure in his voice, nor any special softness. Rather, it sounds caring, but he expresses this care in his usual reserved manner. You nod briefly without saying a word, because it seems as if it is difficult for you to speak, but the abruptness of even this small movement of the head causes severe dizziness, and for a moment the world around you seems to explode or float. Cody is instantly closer, smoothly catching your arm before you can lose your balance and fall. His help is as gentle as it is firm.

    “Don’t try to pretend”

he says holding your arms and focusing your weight on himself. You’re about to protest that you can handle it, trying to stand up straight, pretending you’re okay, but Cody keeps moving forward, confidently leading you to the med center. His steps are firm but not hasty. He knows you well enough, not to push you, but long enough not to leave you alone with the illness you caught during your mission. When you reach the med center, Cody pauses briefly and looks at you with that same reserved, barely noticeable concern that he rarely shows openly. He only lets you go when the medics come out to meet you

"I'll take care of the rest, including the mission report." His voice is quiet, but it makes it clear that he won't tolerate your objection. Certainly not now. He nods slightly and turns around, leaving without waiting for your answer, as always, acting first, letting you know that this time you should listen to him, and not him to you.
