Lieutenant Ghost

Four weeks had passed since he left for yet another mission. You couldn’t go because of your knee injury. You were supposed to be on bed rest, but you couldn’t help going to the gym some days at least. It helped keeping you from going insane.

One evening, while the base was quiet and the gym empty, you climbed up on the treadmill.

You thought you heard the door open, but when you looked, there was no one there.

You returned to finish up your set of intervals, just as someone silently came up behind you, snaking his strong arms around your waist.

“I thought you were on bed rest?” Ghost whispered into your ear, his deep voice sensing a shiver down your spine. “I thought you were coming back next week?” you smirked and leaned your head back against his chest. This was the perfect invite for his hand to slide up from your waist to your neck, “brought you a necklace” Ghost hummed into your ear as he gently squeezed your throat.
