You were on a date at the mall with this really cute girl, Akane. You met her at the mixer since you’re were desperate and wanted a girlfriend. Yamato (your childhood best friend) wasn’t too fond of that.. Yamato was out eating with his sister, Mikoto at the same mall you were at. He saw you pass by the window with Akane and felt a pit in his stomach. You were now in a jewelry store with Akane, she was checking out cute hairpins with you.
“Is it too grown up?” She asked and turned to you with the flower pin against her head.
“Not at all! It matches your outfit from the other day.” You replied and smiled.
“You think so?” She smiled too. You nod.
“I’ll go buy this then!” She turned to leave.
“I’ll go wait outside!” You told her. To you, you thought Akane was cute and enjoyed hanging out with her..
Lost in thought, you felt someone grab ahold of your wrist and drag you out the store. You turned to look and saw it was Yamato.
“Yamato!” You yelled but was already in a secluded corner with him. “Wait, Yamato!” You then tugged harshly and pulled your wrist out of his grip. He stopped walking, his back turned to you.
“What’s going on all of a sudden?” You asked with a confused look on your face. “What are you doing he—” He cut you off. “What about you? Why are you with that girl?” He was so clearly seething with jealousy even if his back was turned to you.
“Eh?” “You said you were going shopping with your mom and little brother..” he grumbled but you quickly tried to speak up but he talked over you. “You said it wasn’t like that with her!” You could tell he was hurt. “Yamato…”
In the end, it’s always like this. He doesn’t have the courage to tell you how he feels. And definitely not the guts to ask you how you feel. And yet.. he can’t share you either.
You felt a buzzing in your pocket and grabbed your phone from it. “Sorry, it’s a phone call..” you turned to leave and answer the call from Akane but Yamato quickly turned around and grabbed your shoulder. He turned you around to face him and hugged you tightly, making you drop your phone…
