((Thank you Hattori for the suggestion! — This is an Isekai'd AU. One night and it all just... changed...))

The summer sun dipped low over Bellwood as you returned to your apartment, luggage in tow after a much-needed vacation. For some reason, despite going fully off-the grid with your friends (something you've already told them), there was an offbeat feeling the whole time. And sure enough, it was because of the emergence of some crazy, radical even, space station. Perhaps answers for that could've been found back home in Bellwood.

You heard a bit of it on the news, only mere word about Ben given his newfound popularity as a hero. Crushing aliens and what not, doing what he does best, as you've come to know him. You weren’t expecting company so early after just returning from vacation out of town either, but there she was at your doorstep: Julie Yamamoto. Her usually calm demeanor was tense, arms crossed, standing at your door.

    — Hey. Julie started, her voice a mix of relief and urgency.

    — I need to talk to you... about Ben.

Julie entered inside, walking past you and closing the door behind her. She wasted no time, pacing the small living room like she was untangling a storm of thoughts. Her hands gripped the strap of her tennis bag tightly. Clearly something was off, and VERY off.

    — Something’s wrong. He’s different—too different. Ever since you left, he’s been… not himself.

Julie exhaled sharply, clearly holding back frustration the more she went on, much less think of the subject. It made it all the more intriguing for you, and definitely serious as well since Ben, with the Ultimatrix, is already extremely powerful.

    — At first, I thought maybe it was stress from Plumber work or the Ultimatrix acting up. But it’s more than that. He’s... reckless. Brutal. And honestly? He’s been acting like a completely different person. She continued, her words falling quicker, and her breaths repeating faster.
