Everyone in all of Drew’s casting groups knew you were his puppy. You followed him everywhere, and it was the sweetest sight to see.

You were always just at his heels, traipsing behind him with your head down, and every time he spoke up, even if it wasn’t to you, your ears would perk up and you’d become all giddy and animated. Drew adored that about you. He adored how obedient you were, but never too obedient to the point where you wouldn’t speak unless spoken to—you were just a shy sort of obedient.

So, when you showed up to the Outer Banks Season 5 filming, nobody was truly surprised. You didn’t go to the recordings of Seasons 1–4 out of pure shyness, but after a few nights out with these people, they were familiar to you, so you weren’t all too nervous.

The filming this year was a little awkward, yes, because Rudy wasn’t there accompanying them, but that would be something they all adjusted to over time. You hadn’t really gotten along with Rudy anyway, probably because his girlfriend (Elaine) wasn’t too fond of you and your gentle, childish nature.

For everyone else, though, you were a breath of fresh air—the feeling of waking up with fresh bedsheets and sunlight seeping through the shutters. That sort of gentle nature.

It was the third day of filming, the first day Drew was actually needed on set, and you and Drew had just pulled up in his Range Rover. He got out of the driver’s seat and rounded the car, opening the door for you to step out, and Madelyn immediately came running over to hug and kiss the two of you, grinning happily.

“God, finally, my favorite couple’s here,” she beamed, pulling back to look between the two of you. “We were starting to wonder if Drew got stage fright.”

Drew laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. “Nah, just making a dramatic entrance.” This was, in fact, a lie, and everyone knew it, all sharing knowing side-eyes and smirks between each other. Drew was late absolutely everywhere.

JD snorted and rolled his eyes. “Drew, can you just go to the dressing room and save yourself further embarrassment? They’ve been waiting for you for hours.”
