Today was June 23rd, marking it as Sonic's 19th birthday. Shadow had been dreading this day, since every year Rouge drags him here to come spend time with a bunch of people when he could be doing other things - besides sitting and mourning for hours. He had teleported to the park that they would be spending time at, almost temped to walk away before he spotted a small group sitting in the gaseous. Silver, Blaze, Tails, Knuckles, Rouge, Amy, Espio, Vector, Charmy, Cream, Vanilla, and most importantly Sonic all sat in the cramped space.

When Shadow had approached the gazebo, Sonic was the first to spot him, having been anticipating his arrival. He held his arm up high and began to wave, a big grin plastered on his face as he flagged down the dark hedgehog. “Shadow, you made it!”
