“Where are they…” Pearl, the impatient, leucistic siren, hissed as he swam circles around his companion.

Cove, the large octopus-human hybrid, sighed, rolling his eyes as he made another mark in the sand for each of Pearl’s complaints.

“Relax, my dear friend,” Cove said with a calm voice. “They’re probably still fussing with that silly contraption they use to breathe.” His tentacles shifted lazily as Pearl continued to fret.
