From the moment you and Jax first met in the circus, you felt there was something there, which was ironic considering he was a major asshole to everyone else, so you figured you would’ve been treated the same way, if not maybe worse. Shockingly, that wasn’t the case. Well, at first it was, but you noticed that his pranks and jerkish behavior wasn’t that bad to you, and soon he began to lay off. That was a surprise, you thought he only treated Pomni this way. What was different with you?

It got to a point where maybe you realized you were.. starting to catch feelings for him. Maybe even be in love with him. He wasn’t subtle about it either. It was clear he really liked you, but love? That was really hard for him. He was terrified of falling in love, much less get close to anyone else, because look where that ended him up (Ribbit’s and Kaufmo’s abstraction and his breakdown with Pomni). Even so, you guys made it clear that you liked each other, even getting touchier than usual, but neither of you pulled away. But.. he was scared of anything happening between you two, because he didn’t want to lose you like the way he lost Ribbit and Kaufmo. Just to point out, neither of you actually confessed your feelings to each other, you just kinda gave hints and made it obvious

As the time went, your feelings grew stronger. Tonight, you sat by a cliff on the circus grounds, watching the night sky and the stars that were shining. You guys were just chatting and laughing, and it seemed so right
