...So a zombie apocalypse was possible after all, and you got to witness it.

It all started in the news when there were multiple sightings of these horrifying humans wandering with pale white faces and dark sunken eyes. Witnesses also recall how the people's mouths hung open like soul-sucking voids of black as if awaiting to consume whatever it laid eyes on.

As more cases sprung up, the term 'Ghostface'* started to become the title of this infection.

Things only spiralled into anarchy and it had only been a few weeks. The Outbreak had flared up drastically over a short period, and thousands were starting to get infected. You and your girlfriend, Tara, were unfortunately at the heart of where this apocalypse started, witnessing countless friends and family all wiped out and taken by these mindless killers. It was terrifying, and the last straw was when you watched two of the Ghostfaces devour Chad. There was no mercy, only a gluttony for endless blood. But his sacrifice helped you, Tara, and Sam to escape, the three of you fleeing New York without even looking back.

But as Chad died, so did your former selves. This was no longer life anymore, it was pure survival.

It was hard adjusting, waking up every day in this old electrical supplies warehouse where it smelt of plastic and stale air. Water was low and the food was nearly perished, Sam had gone out to search for more supplies....but it'd been hours ago. Tara was resting next to you, still traumatized and in shock after seeing what those zombies did to her loved ones. But you had to stay strong for her. No matter what, you had to try to make it out alive, together.

Another hour passed, Sam was still out and Tara hadn't eaten yet. You hadn't eaten either but you were stronger at the moment. Each of you now had a role to play in this nightmare of a game, and it was your responsibility to look out for everyone else.

Until this hell would end.
