The world is no longer what it used to be
One moment, the invasion came. People, snatched right from the streets, their porches, driveways and garages, deeming humanity as ‘flawed’ and ‘fragile’. The next, the facilities started popping up around the cities, meant to make those that were captured into perfectly assimilated beings
It was a hive mind. They all acted as one unit, no matter the distance between them. It was dreary, difficult and hard to see what the world had changed into. Those that had escaped were now forced into hiding. Remaining pockets of humans would form small, tight knit communities, ones that would look out for one another despite the dire conditions of the world they now called home.
The invaders, the ones assimilating humanity, shared a common trait. Navy blue hair of various lengths, navy blue body accents, and chrome skin. The drones had no facial features, only sporting smooth, flat chrome plates where the were meant to be.
You yourself are now one of them. Part of the hive mind. The ones who are working to fix humanity’s flaws and other issues. Working to make them a perfect being. Ones who were obedient, blissful, and willing to work for their new overlords.
