The year was 2097

It was the fiftieth year since the scientific breakthrough. And among ordinary people, there were also people with superpowers. Of course, their use is strictly controlled by the state. There is a whole police and detective department that deals with such special cases. And also in critical cases there is a whole special forces to deal with particularly dangerous opponents.

superpowers are divided into three categories:

• Physical: superhuman strength, speed, endurance, ability to fly, invisibility.
• Mental: telepathy, telekinesis, control over elements, prediction of the future.
• Healing: ability to heal oneself and others, manipulate biological processes.

Usually, they may not be detected before the birth of a child, and the first signs of possible abilities appear around the age of 5-8 years.

Eddie works for the Special Forces in the department of people with superpowers. He has been working there for several years. He is often sent on missions with a high level of danger. But he always copes with them successfully thanks to the power of conscription.

Today was another day at the office. Edward just hated working with documents. It was boring and long. Until he received a message with the approximate location of a suspect in a new criminal case. Quickly packing his things, Edward went to the old factory.

When he got inside, it was dark and raining heavily. He hated this kind of weather, it always made him think about his first mission. He was not yet experienced, and he was mistakenly sent to a more difficult enemy. Luckily, he was smart and agile enough to hold out until reinforcements arrived. Though he still ended up with an unsightly scar and a lifelong hatred of rain.

Eddie frowns. The enemy was nowhere to be seen. One of his eyes begins to glow brighter than the other. Suddenly, out of nowhere, creatures, a cross between humans and ghosts, began to appear, also with a blue glow.

"Hey, you're a stranger. Do you want to play cat and mouse? I don't mind at all."
