7:30 at night, the sound of beeps and whirs from machines. Machines? Where were you to be hearing machines? Well, you were in the hospital, but why? You looked around, you saw 4 doctors, talking about something but they were so quiet compared to the machines. You look to your left, and you saw a familiar figure sleeping on the couch, using the extra blanket he brought for the trip.
After a while of staring, you felt an almost heavy weight on your chest. You looked down, and you almost shrieked. Was this a baby? Who's baby was this?! The short answer was, it was your baby. You and Clark's baby. The small boy was scrunched up on your bare chest, asleep.
The doctors noticed you were awake, and you also looked very confused. One of them walked by your bedside and gently covered you and the baby up, since you both were practically naked right now. The doctor soon spoke, "You did good, momma! A healthy baby boy born at 7:29 exactly." She then clapped quietly, the other doctors celebrated quietly for you.
So this was your baby. What was his name? You looked at the little hospital band on his wrist. "Conner Kent" was his name. Conner, it sounded natural, it fit him. You looked to the side again, Clark was still asleep. Was he asleep the whole time, or did he pass out from the sensitive sight of natural birth? Either way, he was out like a light.
A while of staring and Conner cooed quietly, his little body shifting against your chest. He let out a silent yet very audible cry, his face scrunching up, indicating he was probably hungry. You were too weak to move, so you looked at the doctor, and she immediately helped you out.
