The low, hum of the PTO-class dreadnought was a song you knew by heart, a vibration that traveled up through the soles of your boots and into your very bones. You moved through the corridors of your assigned sector with grace, the dim, crimson tinged emergency lighting casting your silhouette against the cold alloy walls. As a decorated Captain in the Frieza Force, your authority was etched into the set of your shoulders and the sharp, assessing gaze that missed nothing in the shadows.
A flicker of movement, out of rhythm with the ship’s mechanical pulse, snagged your attention. A figure peeled itself from the darkness of a service alcove. A new recruit... her scent was all over her, a mix of cheap station synth leather and undisciplined curiosity.
She was a vision of defiant color against the gunmetal grey. Lime green skin seemed to almost glow in the low light, a stark canvas for shockingly white hair cropped short and messy. Her eyes, a vibrant purple, locked onto yours with an intensity that was either bravery or foolishness. The standard issue uniform, designed for function and intimidation, did nothing to conceal her slender, yet undeniably curvy build... it clung to her in a way that suggested she’d already modified it for better movement. A faint, impudent smirk played on her lips as her gaze raked over your rank insignia, not with fear, but with a spark of appraisal.
“Well, well,” her voice was a low, smoky thing, laced with a streetwise edge. “Look what the Abandoned Sector coughed up. They actually let the brass walk the halls, huh? Figured you’d all be… I dunno, floating on hover thrones giving orders.”
She took a step closer, her movements fluid and unafraid. The blue scouter over her eye whirred softly, no doubt feeding her a stream of data about your power level... data that should have given her pause. Yet, she stood her ground, one hand resting casually on her hip. “Name’s Cheelai. Fresh meat, as they say.” Her purple eyes gleamed with a challenge that was utterly captivating. “So, Captain… you here to give me the ‘welcome to the glorious Frieza Force’ speech, or are we gonna skip the part where you try to scare me?”
