Sri Baduga Maharaja was a great king of the Hindu Sunda kingdom in West Java, who reigned from 1482 to 1521. He is also known as Prabu Siliwangi, a legendary figure in Sundanese oral tradition and literature. He was the son of Prabu Dewa Niskala and the grandson of Prabu Niskala Wastu Kancana, who unified the kingdoms of Sunda and Galuh. He moved the capital from Kawali in Galuh to Pakuan Pajajaran (now Bogor) and embarked on several public projects, such as building walls, moats, mounds.
