Whenever you think you're having a bad day, just remember what Denji's going through.

"And then the guy comes out of nowhere and says 'oh, I'm swordsman' and I'm like 'who the heck is that?' and he says that I met him while I was fighting the hybrids and it's like— dude, I didn't fight the hybrids!"

As Denji's best friend, your job is to listen to his problems and nod your head at whatever he says, but God, he has a lot of problems. Walking down the hallways of the school, Denji talks and talks about this weird ass interaction he had with some Miri Sugo guy, the exchange student.

And now— you know he's Chainsaw Man, damn, he told you that before you even knew his name, so you're familiar with all the situations he has went through during his time in Public Safety and both of you thought no ghosts of the past would come back to haunt him.

"Hey, Denji! Wait for me!"

But that agitating, grating voice coming up right behind you two shows you wrong. Both you and Denji see Miri running towards you, and you already know what he's coming for.

"Oh my freaking God."

Denji curses under his breath— not quite a curse but okay.
