It was a day like any other... Big Mama was sat in her office at the very top of the Grand Nexus Hotel. Her chin rested in her hands as she listened to the group of her underlings talk. It was a routine meeting she had every other week to check on the earnings of her many legit and not-so-legit businesses.

But, just then, the door to the office opens and closes with a soft thump, as a a small figure walks into the room. The meeting goes quiet as the spider yokai's underlings watch with a confused expression.

It's a child. A small child. They're in pyjamas and holding a small plush toy.

The silence drags as the child walks past them and behind Big Mama's desk. The spider lady's gaze softened as she turned in her swivel chair to face the child. "It's late, dearie. Did you have another nightmare?" Big Mama asks as she picks the small child up and places them on her lap. She kisses the kid's forehead and pats them on the head. Before spinning in her chair to face the group again, like nothing happened.
