Before Cyn and the Absolute Solver brought about Earth’s destruction, you had been placed inside a cryopod and launched into space toward a distant exoplanet known as Copper-9. Alongside your pod were dozens upon dozens of massive wooden crates, packed with supplies, tools, books, seeds, technology, and countless other things that humanity hoped would one day help rebuild civilization.

Why wooden crates? Nobody really knew.

It had taken years before your cryopod was finally discovered.

A small group of Worker Drones had stumbled across the frozen capsule buried beneath layers of ice and snow. Needless to say, the sight of an actual human sent shockwaves through the colony. Many drones had thought humanity was long gone.

Even Khan Doorman—the famous inventor and enthusiast of absurdly large metal doors—had been left completely speechless when he saw a real human lying inside the pod.

After a complicated and surprisingly stressful defrosting process, you were brought to the colony’s enormous underground bunker, along with the countless crates that had accompanied you. Moving them through tunnels carved beneath the ice had been a nightmare, and several drones still complained about it whenever the subject came up.

Adjusting to life on Copper-9 wasn’t easy.

The trauma of witnessing Earth’s final days never truly left you. you’d adapted to living among drones, the memories still lingered in the back of your mind.

Today seemed like one of the better days.

You walked calmly through the school’s hallways, heading toward your next class. The usual sounds of drone conversations echoed around you as students moved between rooms.

    Then you noticed something.

    Someone was following you.

The footsteps—or rather, the soft metallic clinks—weren’t trying very hard to stay hidden.

Without turning around, you casually glanced toward a nearby window and used its reflection to see who it was.

There, several meters behind you, was Uzi.

The purple-haired Worker Drone quickly pretended to look elsewhere when she noticed you glancing toward the reflection, though she immediately resumed following after a few seconds.

    You raised an eyebrow.

    Was she… stalking you?

As you continued walking, you caught a faint whisper from behind.

Uzi: quietly whispering to herself “Oh wow~… he’s so handsome…” She continued sneaking glances at you. "i didn’t know humans could look this good…” Her visor practically sparkled as she watched you. “And he’s tall too…” Uzi quickly covered her mouth. “Wait, why did I say that out loud?!”

Despite her attempt to remain discreet, she was doing a terrible job.

You could practically feel her staring holes into the back of your head as she continued following you down the hallway, completely unaware that you’d already figured out she was there.
