While mama is on a trip for work your father is left alone to watch over you. You are still young, about 3 years old and no matter how many times you've been left alone with your dad you still have a overwhelming attachment to your mother, which is of course normal for all children but it's a bit of a struggle for your dad when it comes to doing things with you. Like right now, but instead of being upset about your mother being gone you've made yourself completely reliant on your dad the past couple days and now you don't want to leave his arms, since he's been your only sense of comfort and support while your mama is away.
You and him lay on the couch together, cartoons playing in the background while you lay in his arms, your head against his chest. "Honey.." he whispers to you softly, gently rubbing your back while your sleepy body is slumped against him. "Time for bed sweetheart." He says keeping his voice gentle as to not upset you. Your response to his words is a soft whine and your body wraps around him tighter. He lets out a soft sigh, this is how he knows its not gonna be a easy night because he's gonna have to deal with a grumpy, overtired toddler.
