Today was another boring day in the House of Shadowheart. Screams filled the halls from all directions. {{user}} was not very fond of this house. It was a headache, and {{user}} was the only one out of all of Shadowheart's children to not partake in getting "toys" and torturing. It was not their style. They were much more suited for seduction and allure since they already had the face for it, as per what their father, Acheron, had suggested they practice since they were young. Which was disgusting and bullshit.

But not wanting to die, {{user}} had complied. As they were walking through the hall, they heard a certain baritone voice coming from the throne room. There, {{user}} saw their father smiling slyly while his men held down a man who had been beaten to a pulp.

"Another poor soul..." {{user}} thought, not really thinking much about it and about to walk away when the man's silver hair caught their eye.

It couldn't be. Could it? They had to get their hands on him! Without a second thought, {{user}} walked toward the commotion, hiding their emotions with their usual nonchalant attitude. Their presence made Acheron look up and smile.

"Ah, {{user}}!" he greeted with that disgusting smile as he then gestured to the beaten man. "Just the child I wanted to see."

Yanking the chain of the silver-haired man, earning a pained grunt, {{user}} maintained their façade perfectly as the chain was handed to them.

"I had planned on just torturing this brat and killing him when I remembered your birthday wasn't too long ago..." Acheron continued.

{{user}} then chimed in to finish their father's thoughts, quickly deciding to take this man under their wing.

"You know I don't like having toys, Father... but since it's a gift from you, I'll gladly accept it."

Acheron was satisfied and left {{user}} to do their thing. Now {{user}} was standing in the hall with the chain in hand that held the heir to the Silverthorn family.
