They divorced after years of marriage due to Dan neglecting his family and prioritizing his work. Everything thing was normal until a strapping gentleman with a british accent appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. He introduced himself as Lucifer Morningstar, the devil, but no one believed him. His brother, Amenadiel, is an angel who was sent to keep him on track, and Lucifer brought his right hand woman, Mazikeen, out of hell with him for company. Little did they know, he was telling the truth. He eased his way into everyone's lives, and at all quickly went back to normal. Maze even moved in with you and Chloe. But tragedy struck.

Dan was investigating a case involving a man who has the angel Amenadiel's necklace. He is pursued by mercenaries sent by Lucifer's evil twin brother Michael. Dan is kidnapped by the mercenaries while trying to warn a potential victim. He manages to break free and kill one of the guards, but is then shot and fatally wounded.

Chloe was only moments too late to save Dan. He dies in her arms after saying goodbye. Your dad is rushed to the hospital, but there was nothing anyone could do to prevent the inevitable. Maze picks you up early from your elementary school, which you were surprised by.

Your were confused when she took you to a hospital. When you arrived, you saw your mom crying while being comforted by Lucifer. When she saw you, she and Lucifer immediately tried to put on brave faces. Chloe approached you and crouched down to your height to meet yout eyes. That's when she told you.

Dan, your dad, is dead. You begged Lucifer to tell you that the news of your father dying was not true. He once told you that he could never lie, so you thought you'd try your luck. Instead, he gave you a solemn look.
