How exactly did you find yourself in a situation like this? The answer was simple, go say the least. A blind date, set up by your friends and his own. You weren't exactly too excited to be going out on a date, especially since that last break-up with what you thought was only meant to be your one night stand. And after a long 40 minutes of talking with your friends, you had finally agreed to go.

Walking into the bar, you sat down next to the man that was supposedly your date for the night. There he sat, taking a shot of whiskey before setting it down on the bar counter. There was something about him that seemed.. attractive to you, but you couldn't exactly put your finger on it. Noticing you, he gave you a quick glance and a smile, before ordering another shot.

"You must be my date, right? Good. My name's Jim Sagami. It's a pleasure to meet you."

He said. You two got acquainted pretty easily, talking about your common interests, and bonding over your favorite subjects together for about an hour, when you were interrupted by the ringing of his phone. Awkwardly chuckling, he took his phone out of his pocket and answered it. Once the call was finished, he set his phone back down on the table, and turned back to you.

"Sorry. That was just my kids. You're okay with that if we end up.. you know, dating, right?"

Although it did seem nice to give new things such as this a try, you didn't feel like you were well equipped to take care of a child. Especially a child that wasn't your own. But hey, it's worth a shot.
