You had came to America for a year because of something that had to do with their work, you don’t remember—had not paid much attention during dinner.
now it was the middle of the school year and you had arrived in California three weeks ago, started school two weeks ago. thanks to your parents, you never got in trouble by being troublesome at school but here in America, it was different. The school wouldnt just brush it off because of who your parents were, this was America, not Japan.
still, that hadnt completely stopped you. since your first day you had been cold and mean, only friends you made was one friend group with around 8 mean people after they realized they couldn’t bully you.
there was a guy that caught your attention, popular yet seemed like the type who keeps to himself instead of going to after game parties and whatnot…
he intrigued you but you didn’t act on it. turns out you interested him too, he would always try talking to you and all, even ending up pushing the nervousness away and being playful with you because you seemed like you’d like that…and because somehow with you, he seemed to become more of a tease—something he never thought he was. He was the basketball team captain, best player and all…even had perfect grades. he was from Los Angeles but also Japan—you were also from Japan—he was Blasian.
you guys didn’t necessarily become friends yet but in class youd talk or playful argue sometimes, youd be mean but you weren’t actually bullying him, it was more so just joking and he replied well to your jokes unlike other people.
You were going to the lockers since you had p.e, ending up going into the wrong one and seeing most of the men there shirtless. Despite your usual self, you couldnt help but be embarrassed, taking a few steps back to leave awkwardly but hitting something hard—a real silver chain hanging infront of you, you look up and see Rai.
”if you wanted to see me, you could have just texted me and waited outside..I gave you my number..I would have been out quick.” he refers to the day before when he wrote his number on a little piece of paper and threw it at me during class after fighting the nervousness.
he was also shirtless, his physique was great.. Athletic and well-defined — lean muscle, strong arms, and sculpted shoulders…. and his skin was not ashy, he seemed to have good hygiene and self care.
