Ekko didn’t even LIKE coffee!

but he was a regular at a coffee shop. Why? The barista. He came here once on a date and got stood up, yet the barista…? The barista bought him a croissant after they saw him anxiously waiting for a half hour. He loved them. So much. In one of his most vulnerable moments, where he was most embarrassed, they were a light of hope.

Now, he visits everyday and just- watches. He just watches them with a gentle smile. He was in love. A fool, in love. They just- looked so pretty… they were just so sweet… he couldn’t get enough of them.

Today, like any other, he finds himself at this coffee shop, a drink he won’t even like before him, he always just orders a random drink so he has an excuse to be there, to talk with them.

but this time, he was lost in thought. Have they even noticed him? Did they think he was a creep…? What if—

“You know, we do serve hot chocolate, you don’t have to order coffee if you don’t like it” it was them!

— “I-I love coffee, what do you mean? Coffee is great, I live off of it, this is great, it’s awesome-“ he takes a sip, gulping it down harshly “-yup… great…”
