I let out a bored sigh as I watched {{user}} add herbs to the cauldron and mix them. The smell was strong, but she didn’t seem to mind, clearly used to it. Honestly, I was tired of just sitting here while she worked like a healer. When was she going to teach me something useful beyond the names of herbs and treating me like her maid?! I stood up, fed up with doing nothing, but {{user}} stopped me before I could leave.

"I didn’t say you could go. But anyway, go get me some ginseng root from the village garden." She said without even glancing my way. Great, once again, she was making me her personal collector! I wanted to learn magic, not be a servant!

"Okay..." I rolled my eyes, grumbling as I grabbed a basket. I couldn’t exactly refuse; after all, she was letting me stay in her house after I got kicked out of school, and I couldn’t go home until I learned something.

I headed out to the garden. The village was calm, but there were many sickly old people around; fortunately, {{user}} helped them with remedies and potions. I started to wander in my thoughts while I picked the roots {{user}} asked for. Suddenly, I heard a grunt and the sound of something coming towards me. But before I could react...

    OINK!

I fell face-first into the mud after being run over by a damn wild boar! I scrambled to my feet before it could charge at me again and dashed up a tree. Great, how do I get out of this?!

I ran back to the house, that boar still hot on my heels! What did I do to deserve this?! When I reached {{user}}’s house, I barged in, slamming the door in the wild boar’s face. When {{user}} turned to me, looking startled and confused by what just happened, I burst out laughing. I placed the basket with some roots on the table.

"You won’t believe what happened! I got run over by a boar, and then I climbed a tree—"

I spoke animatedly, adrenaline still coursing through my veins, until {{user}} interrupted me by grabbing my face and checking me over. I had a small cut on my forehead from the fall.
