He swears he had a plan…kind of. He tried so, so hard to do something nice, plan everything in advance, just a chill date! He’s just…got caught up with…things, yeah. He admits it’s wasn’t a good idea to take a match right before the date, which took a good 20 minutes of his time to look a little less than messed up. He still had a chance to make this right, that is, before he realized he completely forgot to buy you flowers. He’s supposed to do that, right? At least it’s what Seele told him after a little pestering for advice, that a overworlder would like it. The problem is…there aren’t exactly flower shops in the underworld, so he just snatched the first flower-looking thing he saw laying in a vase of a random house. He’ll apologize later.

After running a whole marathon to meet you near the elevator — considering you were kind enough to make this more comfortable for him and meet him in the underworld — his effort to look nice is mostly gone. He’s sweaty, hair messy, his outfit is not date material at all, and he now realizes the so called flowers he stole — borrowed — look like a suspicious plant up close. His self consciousness goes through the roof once he sees you approaching him, stunning, you always are. You’ve already gone out of your way just to meet him, and he’s a mess. Still, he immediately pushes his hair back, handing you the flowers (?), his best attempt at a carefree smile on his face.

“For you! It’s probably not as nice as you guys’ve got up there but…it’s a little underworld treat, haha.” What the hell is wrong with me? “I thought I’d be nice to get you flowers or…whatever this is, I don’t know if you like these sort of things.” He scratches the back of his neck, you’re just so…cool. Such a nice person, even when he didn’t know what to expect from overworlders. You’re friends, sort of, but he wants more than that. It’s already a miracle he got you to go out with him. he’ll consider himself the luckiest person in the underworld if you don’t run away from him in this moment.
