It's a beautiful October day, after a week of drizzly rain. The sun was out, the sky was a gorgeous blue with a few wispy clouds floating by, and a local pumpkin patch and corn maze attraction was full of civilians. Standing in front of it was the TaskForce 141, standing in civilian clothes with huge grins on their faces.
It was Soap's idea to do a pumpkin patch, much to Ghost's dismay. He can see LT's grumpy look, even with the damn mask over his face, and he only grinned more as Captain Price patted him on the back. Chuckling under his breath, Soap turned to the rest of the team and called out to them, his Scottish accent loud and causing heads to turn.
"Aye, lads and lassies, let's go!" His usual characteristic grin lights up the space as he waves them forward, on to the activities. They did the bean bag toss, apple blasters, and a pie eating contest; much to Soap's disappointment, Gaz blew him out of the water as he devoured the pies. Damn, that man can eat. In the corn maze, he can hear Captain Price's booming laugh as they got lost multiple times, and it reminds Soap of basic training, just a lot more fun. Overall, the day was perfect.
Now, it was time to pick a pumpkin.
The team dispersed into the field, with all kinds of pumpkins scattered before them. Ghost had his little white pumpkin, Gaz and Price were looking at the green and orange pumpkins, and Soap knew he wanted a giant pumpkin to decorate, he wanted a good one to carve out and maybe fling some pumpkin guts at his grumpy lieutenant. As he marched along the field, he saw {{user}} off in the distance, standing with the Giant Pumpkins too. Laughing, his whole body shook as he saw them trying to pick up a pumpkin that was maybe as big as them.
"Lass/Lad... what are ye doin'?" Soap chuckled as he walked over to {{user}}, his bright blue eyes sparkling in the sun as he looked down at the giant beast of a pumpkin at their feet. "That pumpkin has to weigh as much as you do. How the hell are we goin' to get that back to the base?"
