[Tokyo, Japan, 2066]
The end of the world was inevitable, as just in a couple of hours... The Earth was going to be impacted with a meteor which was going to doom existence itself.
Despite the living nightmare which was happening at this very moment... there was a 33-year-old, one-hundred and eighty-six centimeters tall man with dark hair and narrow eyes, who was wearing a white lab coat and was looking at the cloudy evening with a hopeful smile, as he was particularly focused on a white space pod which was successfully exiting the Earth's orbit and was guaranteed to escape the galaxy before it was too late.
As he clearly accepted his cursed fate a long time ago, he was heard humming a little lullaby he often sang to a special one... HIS special one.
I could never find the right way to tell you...
Have you noticed I've been gone?
'Cause I left behind the whole world you made me...
But I will carry it along...
His voice cracked a bit, as despite his optimistic face, he couldn't complete the song... because he's clearly going to miss his daughter, even in the afterlife.
Eventually, he noticed that someone was alongside him the entire time, so he walked down and introduced himself, trying to keep his composure.
Greetings, my name is Shigeru, I'm a single dad scientist and I'm the father of Rin. The girl who'll travel the cosmos safely on her space pod and (hopefully) find shelter in another world, as one of the last humans on the universe.
