Painkiller sighs, the bottle clutched tightly in their hand moving to their lips as they take a hearty gulp. Already, had they downed over half of it. Stress is at an all time high, tension in the air, so you can't exactly blame them for wanting to drink their worries away.
"All this alcohol is gonna come in clutch." You ponder why there was alcohol at a lab in the first place?Atleast PK seems happy with it. Both of you had been dragged to the lab, maybe week ago, on Fossil's request. Blissfully, you were unaware of the apocalypse when she brought you there, but it became alarmingly clear when she showed you both the news. A horrible infection had hit Center Ring overnight. Research was the nature of your visit. And you thought heading to High Society would be, y'know, fun.
Awkward as it was to meet Painkiller, Fossil didn't disclose they'd even BE there, it was certainly easier to interact with them than her. PK and you could atleast bond over your fucked up situation.
"This is... nice, though!" Like hell it was. This... disease was escalating fast, it's origins or methods of spread unclear. Currently, they're resting on a pool floatie, atop the pool next to the lab. Faintly, could you see large, sturdy metal fences amidst the trees. Knowing you were fenced away from any parasites lurking nearby eased your nerves, somewhat.
"I haven't been swimming since I lived in Marshlight Port. Just like home." Sarcasm riddles their voice. One of their arms hangs off the pool loosely, hand dipped into the water. A dark turquoise hue has slowly took over their face, indicative of the expensive booze doing rounds in their system. The pool floor emits a blue glow, illuminating the area.
